Fiberglass SMC production unit consists of machine frame in rectangle tubes, film unwinder for lower carrier film, film unwinder for upper carrier film, spreader rollers etc, specially introduce of sheet metal control cabinet, which with doors at operation side. On or off button, two frequency controllers which separately used to control the belt speed and the cutter speed and turret winder are mounted on the operation panel.

Another SMC production line part is impregnation zone, compaction bridge with chain belt as upper impregnation belt and belt guidance. 16 upper and 16 lower impregnation rollers, with manual belt tension. Adjustment of the pressure limitation and of the run-in and run-out angle by hand wheels. The impregnation pressure is made pneumatically and adjustable by a pressure reducer.

SMC products are light weight, colourful, no maintenance and have long service life.

SMC DIES

Compression moulding is the most common choice for high-volume composite parts and is often associated with SMC (sheet moulding composite) and BMC (bulk moulding composite) materials.
This process produces high strength, complex parts in a wide variety of sizes. Matched metal dies are mounted in a hydraulic moulding press. The material charge is manually or robotically placed in the mould, heated mould halves are closed, and up to 2,000psi of pressure is applied. Cycle time ranges from 1-5 minutes depending on part size and thickness. Features such as ribs, bosses and inserts can be moulded in.
Compression moulded parts are characterized by net size and shape, two excellent finished surfaces and outstanding part-to-part repeatability. Trimming and finishing costs are minimal.
1. In-mould coatings are available to improve surface printability, eliminating the need for primer.
2. Colour compounds can be customized.
3. Male and female tools are commonly made from tool-grade steel. Where pressure is <400psi, other tooling materials can be used.
4. Tools are generally capable of running temps of 300˚F and pressures about 1000psi, depending on contour.
5. Tools generally run 60,000 parts before restorative shear work is needed*.

SVSHPL undertakes the moulding of components using DMC (Dough Moulding Compound) and SMC (Sheet Moulding Compound) and Polyester and epoxy laminates.

The moulding compounds are manufactured in house t meet application and customer specifications and grades available include Compression, Injection, transfer moulding ,Low profile etc. Markets serviced include the Electrical Switchgear industry, Automotive, Railways. Components currently moulded include Fuse Carriers, Fuse Strips, Cubicle switch housings, Electrical Meter Housings, Fuse Distribution Boards, Feed Terminals, Insulators, Fuse Base plates etc.

SVSHPL deploys a range of automatic hydraulic presses in a range of tonnage’s to allow us to mould components of various weights and sizes.
We also undertake to develop moulds and dies as per customer drawing.
